Magnetic Materials, Semiconductors and Superconductors

There are three types of magnetic materials- Paramagnetic materials, Diamagnetic materials and Ferromagnetic materials. Any of a class of crystalline solids that intermediate in electrical conductivity between a conductor and an insulator and behave as a conductor as well as an insulator is known as a semiconductor. A superconductor is those crystalline solids that have zero resistance.  The conversion of metallic to superconducting state is associated to the quantum phenomena of Bose-Einstein condensation and super fluidity.   Semiconductors are and will be in the foreseeable future, key elements for the majority of electronic systems, signal processing, serving communication, computing, and control applications in both the consumer and industrial market.
