Recent advances in stem cell biology

Stem cells has the potential to develop different cell types, essentially without limitation to replenish other cells as long as the human being or animal is still alive, which offers immense hope of curing the disease called Alzheimer’s, repairs damaged spinal cords, liver and lung diseases  Scientists primarily worked with two types of stem cells from animals and humans  Asymmetric cell division is an evolutionarily mechanism which is mainly used to generate cellular diversity in the time of development  Drosophila neuroblastsis worked as useful model system for knowing the molecular mechanisms of asymmetric cell division  We focus on recent progress in understanding the mechanisms of heterotrimeric G proteins and their regulators in asymmetric spindle geometry
